I used to just roughly tie up leftover vegetables from grocery shopping and put them away, but now I’ve switched to silicone zipper bags and vacuum containers. Since silicone zipper bags hold their shape and stand upright for storage, organizing the refrigerator is much easier. Also, because they can be washed and reused, I find myself throwing them away less often. They are dishwasher safe, so maintenance is simpler than I expected. And what I’m most satisfied with these days is the vacuum container. If I organize leftover vegetables, put them in, and vacuum-seal them, the condition is definitely different over time. I was surprised that the green onions stayed perfectly fine for almost a month... 😳 Since there are many days when I can't cook often, I think I needed this combination even more.
