༘⋆ ㅣ 🧚🏻 What I realized while organizing my living room this time was that it’s not about reducing the number of items, but about establishing criteria. There are many pretty things, but if you get greedy and bring everything in, it eventually becomes messy. And if you don’t have criteria for what to keep, things keep changing endlessly. So this time, I organized by dividing the criteria into Criteria for bringing in / Criteria for taking out. • Criteria for bringing in Whether it can make space Whether its function overlaps Whether it fits the current space • Criteria for taking out Whether it is inconvenient without Whether it has been actually used recently Once I organized based on these criteria, the space felt much less unstable. Ultimately, I think organizing isn't about the items themselves, but about organizing the criteria for selection.
