I was worried that the 1600 size might be too small after using the 1800 size, but it is actually spacious enough for our family of five. Also, since it is porcelain ceramic rather than tile ceramic, it is definitely much easier to maintain. We often spill food on the table while eating, but I don't have to worry at all about sauces like curry. Our youngest is obsessed with drawing these days, and colored pencils and crayons make a huge mess on the tabletop, but I am using it with great satisfaction because I don't have to nag him!!
