How to Decorate a TV-Free Living Room? I thought it would be inconvenient without a TV, but since we can utilize the entire front of the living room, it actually has nothing but advantages for home decorating. I’ve put together a home styling guide for the living room of a newlywed couple who have been living without a TV for four years now.🙂 • Freely configure the living room furniture layout using a modular sofa. Since switching to a modular sofa, we have been able to style our living room in a much wider variety of ways. From the most basic standard layout to a face-to-face arrangement perfect for chatting with guests, and even a bed-style layout where the couple can sit close together and enjoy a home cinema experience—we can change the layout so much that my husband and I end up spending the most time in the living room. • Use the space efficiently by placing a wide shelving unit on the opposite wall instead of a TV. Placing a shelving unit in a white color similar to the wall creates a visual effect that makes the space look larger. The lower section features storage for various items needed in the living room, while the upper section has shelves to enhance the atmosphere of the space with various accessories. Depending on your needs, you can also place a desk or dining table in the space next to the storage cabinet to enrich your living room. • Transform underutilized leftover spaces by installing wall shelves in the narrow gaps by the window. This space had been unused for years, but after installing the wall shelves, it became a highly functional area that is not only aesthetically pleasing. It took less than a week to install after purchase, and the price was very reasonable, making it the most satisfying purchase I've made recently :) • Fill the emptiness by placing a daybed-style sofa by the window that doesn't obstruct the view. Daybed-style sofas have no backrest or are low, so they don't take up much space. If you have a home with a nice view, try placing a daybed sofa by the window. You will find happiness in the time spent sitting on the sofa, gazing blankly out the window. • Soothe your longing with a portable TV instead of a fixed one. If you are still missing a TV, how about a portable one?
