🏡 | A record started because I love my home, A homebody has acquired a trophy and a business card. The child who loved colorful colors and drawing since childhood, graduated from elementary, middle, and high school just like everyone else, prepared for entrance exams at an academy, and entered art college. I commuted for four years without taking a single leave of absence, traveling over three hours round trip, working late into the night. As soon as I graduated, I got a job at a design company, and worked tirelessly as a designer for seven years, commuting another 3.5 hours round trip. I started decorating my room as time spent at home increased after COVID-19. At first, I just wanted to decorate my room beautifully and live in the house I live in with my parents, even though I couldn't afford to live on my own. But I have been pouring my heart into this work ever since. Am I happy right now? When was the last time I drew because I loved it? Unexpected career 고민 at thirty, and resignation after much deliberation. I took the time to get to know myself by filling my room with tastes I didn't even know I had. As I expressed what I liked and revealed more of myself, I, who used to be not very assertive, began to take on challenges I had never tried before, and gradually transformed into a more proactive and positive person. Although I still am not drawing because I have too much to do, filling my room with my tastes feels like I am drawing a new picture in my own way, much like decorating a diary with stickers and washi tape. After documenting my home on Instagram and Today's House for nearly six years, the title of "creator" naturally followed, and I gained people who empathize with and appreciate my tastes. What started as a record simply because I loved my home became an opportunity to get to know myself, and 'Today's House' is one of the things that motivated me to record my home and my life even more diligently. From O House Season 3 to Season 10, to exhibiting my room at Today's House Bukchon, 25 years of activity as a Special Creator, and now, Today's House has even made a trophy and business cards for this homebody. Of course, I am naturally not as financially secure as I was when I worked at a company, but tending to and documenting my home to reflect my still-fickle tastes has also been a process of looking back on and getting to know myself after running tirelessly. Although it is difficult to summarize in a single word, I dare say that I am happy. As I wrote this, the text became rambling and disorganized, but I want to continue working as a Today's House Special Creator in 2026 and let many people know just how positively documenting oneself influences life.
