My past self, who thought that buying a system air conditioner meant everything was installed for you...🫠 You must check these three things when installing a system air conditioner! ✔️ Check the space (depth) inside the ceiling Usually, a depth of at least 15-20cm is required to install a system air conditioner! We didn't have that much space, so we proceeded with a sloping installation for the unit part! Thanks to that, it added to the interior design effect, and I actually love it!💗 ✔️ Check for additional costs in advance I found that various additional costs can arise, such as pipe extension fees and ceiling cleaning fees. I was notified in advance about the pipe extension fee, but what is this ceiling cleaning fee all about? Haha. This was the most ridiculous part. They claimed it was a fee to clear away things that get in the way of the pipe installation connecting to each room... 😇 Fortunately, since this was done during construction, the interior design company took care of it... heh. ✔️ Check the outdoor unit installation location (Applies only to older buildings without a separate outdoor unit room) Since ours is an older building, there is a separate space for the outdoor unit on the veranda railing. So, we didn't even worry about the location... But then we received the shocking news that we couldn't place the outdoor unit outside... heh... They said that under the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, a person cannot climb up using a ladder truck, and to install it, the railing would have to be cut. I understand the cost is around 450,000 won, and they said they would introduce us to a contractor...? ....Hahahaha, I contacted the vendor and it was absolute chaos.😇 Since I couldn't put that huge outdoor unit on the veranda, I reluctantly decided to cut the railing.🫠 Railing cutting finished... I didn't actually use a professional company because the interior design firm just cut it for me, but... 450,000 won isn't exactly a small amount. I realized that if you live in an older building, you really need to check the outdoor unit's installation location and whether installation is even possible. (I heard that some private companies do handle this as well. Since we are a Samsung direct branch, they cited legal issues and said they couldn't do it...)
