Most people have plastic drains like mine, so even if you wipe it quickly, it gets scratched and stained with red liquid, making it dirty. This one is made of stainless steel, so it lasts a long time. You just pop it right into the drain and that's it^^ Just remove the plastic pinwheel inside and attach this set. Put baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, and hot water inside, let it soak, clean it, and then attach it. I debated buying it for a while, but I'm using it well.
