Making a room you love both day and night is crucial when designing it. If you feel comfortable spending a whole day there, it's proof that the direction you're taking with your room design is correct. My building doesn't have very high ceilings, so I've kept the furniture as low as possible. Since the space isn't very large either, I've hung plants and decorative items from the ceiling and used the entire wall surface to decorate with picture frames and other items.
