A single softly diffused light makes the end of the day feel much cozier. During the day, I maximize natural light, and when the sun sets, I turn on warm, non-dazzling incandescent lighting. Doing so makes even the same space feel much softer and more comfortable. I especially make it a point to include at least one accent light. A light that is as pretty as a decorative object fills the space even when not turned on, and at night, it plays the role of completing the atmosphere.
