Then, at some point, I gave birth, and since the child was young, I stopped because hobbies involving needles felt too dangerous. Today, while organizing my cupboard, I found an embroidery project that I had started but stopped, so I took it out and worked on it for the first time in a while. I think I stopped this one about 8 or 9 years ago. This time, just letting my hands move back and forth without a care in the world, was truly healing.
