The baby grew faster than I expected, so if I put storage boxes or items there, they would touch their head. Also, since the baby moves around a lot when changing diapers, it is safer to keep only the essentials on the table. I laid down a cushioned, waterproof PVC mat that can be easily cleaned with disinfectant wipes, and placed a towel on top to serve as a pillow. Since the baby often spits up even after being burped and laid down, it is convenient to have a towel laid down and change it frequently.
