On days like today, when it is drizzling, a warm bowl of soup really comes to mind. On days when there are no side dishes in the refrigerator and I feel too lazy to cook, I took out the Shinsegae Food Namhae Garlic Budae Jjigae from the freezer. Since it is a concentrated meal kit, it is ready in no time just by adding 300ml of water and boiling it! At first, I wondered if the portion was a bit small, but once I actually cooked it, it was just right for two people. It contained a variety of ham types, so it was fun to pick and choose, and my child enjoyed it too. However, it was a little spicy for my child, so I added a slice of cheese and some tofu. Because it is beef bone broth-based, it is rich, but perhaps thanks to the chili oil and green onions, it also had a refreshing taste similar to Yukgaejang. The garlic aroma also wafted up subtly, giving it a better umami flavor than regular Budae Jjigae. Since it is a convenient meal kit to cook, as long as you have hot rice and Budae Jjigae, you can easily finish a bowl as a meal on a rainy day! Thanks to being a concentrated meal kit, it takes up little space, so storing it in the freezer is also a big advantage. If you slip it right into a corner of the freezer, it’s perfect for whipping up a hearty meal in a snap on days when cooking is a hassle! #NamhaeGarlicBudaeJjigae #BudaeJjigae #MealKit #CornSoupRecord #OurHomeToday This is a review based on my personal experience using and styling the product, which was provided through the #FiveSensesReview program.
