HAY's Barro series, It's been a while since I've felt my heart flutter like this piece of tableware. Perhaps because its round, plump shape particularly resembles me, and with HAY's signature color palette added to it, I was drawn to it even more. Although it is a bit heavy, I always find myself reaching for this plate. To the point where it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I use it almost every day. I don't usually prefer to collect entire tableware series, but for the Barro series, I acquire them one by one whenever I feel like it's a gift to myself. There is a certain joy in collecting like this. Until the day they fill my cupboard! On Sunday, I harvested arugula I grew myself in my veranda mini-garden and made tortilla sandwiches to plate on it.
