Our house, which is 23 years old, is where we used to live with my parents. We renovated it six years ago and have been living ever since. Before the renovation, the second floor was a dead space, but by tweaking it piece by piece, it has transformed into the dining area it is today. I temporarily set aside the rug out of fear of spilling wine, but I actually like it because the empty floor allows the decorative items I’ve placed here and there in the cabinets to be seen more clearly. I am currently enjoying the process of collecting my favorite items one by one and slowly filling this old house with my own taste.
