Last year, I spent about a month doing a DIY renovation of an older 17-pyeong apartment and moved in. It features one bedroom and a living room connected by a sliding door. Since it is a typical older apartment in the 10-pyeong range and does not get much natural light, I prioritized a sense of openness when planning the interior. Let me introduce the three key points that brought the biggest changes to this existing interior. 1๏ธโƒฃ Removal of Non-Load-Bearing Wall ๐Ÿ“Building Permit Required๐Ÿ“ There was a non-load-bearing wall connecting the kitchen to the living room, so I boldly removed it to bring in even a little more sunlight. Since there are no obstructions to the view, it definitely feels like the space is more spacious. Throughout the renovation, the contractors also frequently mentioned that the house looks larger than its actual square footage. 2๏ธโƒฃ Removal of Kitchen Upper Cabinets For the same reason as point 1, plus to realize my personal dream, I removed the upper cabinets. Iโ€™m forcing in the positives that since there are no cabinets, I spent a long time deliberating before buying my dishes ๐Ÿฅฒ 3๏ธโƒฃ 600x600 Tiles The price and installation costs for 600x600 tiles have become cheaper than before, so the contractor recommended them, saying that if we were going to do it anyway, we might as well go with 600x600. Because the tiles are large, I was able to reduce the area, and create the effect of making the narrow bathroom look wider. + I [did] to save costs The same tiles were used all the way to the entrance. #OldBuildingUserManual #๋ฐ˜์…€ํ”„์ธํ…Œ๋ฆฌ์–ด #์˜ฌ์ˆ˜๋ฆฌ์ธํ…Œ๋ฆฌ์–ด #17PyeongInterior #๊ตฌ์ถ•์•„ํŒŒํŠธ์ธํ…Œ๋ฆฌ์–ด
