I debated until the very last minute whether to just ignore the old kitchen base cabinets and use them as they were. (I was afraid that if I messed with them, they might look even worse...) But in the end, I tore them all out and covered them with black adhesive film. The moment I applied it, the atmosphere of the kitchen completely changed. I was worried it might look too dark, but it actually feels much more organized!
