The unique chicness of stainless steel and iron, combined with the warm texture of fabric, creates a balance that is distinctly Joe House’s own. I plan to keep the folding doors wide open until it gets a bit hotter. The key to this structural change was ‘openness of the view.’ To reduce the feeling of confinement, I placed the shelves low in front of the veranda window. In front of them, I casually placed a witty amulet rug by Say Touché, adding another layer of vintage wit and texture to the space. Now, as the deep sunlight between spring and summer breaks through the gaps in the blinds, I am already looking forward to the narrative that light and shadow will create in this living room ;)
