I think Budae Jjigae is one of those dishes that feels surprisingly comforting to have stocked in the freezer haha. The Shinsegae Food Master Collection Namhae Garlic Budae Jjigae I tried this time exceeded my expectations; the broth was definitely rich, and the ingredients were plentiful :) It features a combination of ham, sausage, and cheese, all packed with Namhae garlic. The garlic flavor comes through subtly, giving it a better umami taste than regular Budae Jjigae. Perhaps because it has a beef bone broth base, the soup is rich and flavorful. It tastes great with rice, and it pairs perfectly with ramen noodles too haha. What I particularly liked was how incredibly easy it is to cook! You just need to add water and boil it without thawing, making it perfect for a quick dinner on a busy evening or a weekend meal. Personally, I always eat lunch alone, and I've been eating it one meal, adding ham, cheese, and ramen noodles the next day, and keeping it going until the day after! Hahaha. Since Budae Jjigae is my favorite food, I love it so much! Plus, since it comes in a slim pack, it doesn't take up much space in the freezer, making it convenient to store. And because you just add water and boil it, I think it would be perfect for camping. I added some green onions and tofu to my meal, and it made for a much more hearty serving. I think it's a great option when you want to easily recreate the vibe of Songtan-style Budae Jjigae at home. My husband also said the broth tasted good and finished a whole bowl of rice right away haha. I want to recommend this to anyone who likes convenient meals or is looking for a freezer staple! #TodaysHouse #OgamReview #ShinsegaeFood #NamhaeGarlicBudaeJjigae #BudaeJjigaeRecommendation #FrozenConvenienceFood #HomeCookingMenu #ConvenienceFoodRecommendation This is a review based on my personal experience and styling, having received the product through the #OgamReview program.
