This is a review based on my personal experience using and styling the product, which was provided through the #오감리뷰 program. Since getting married, I often find myself reaching for meal kits when I want to enjoy a proper meal conveniently! This time, I tried the Namhae Garlic Budae Jjigae meal kit released by Shinsegae Food. The kit contains ham, sausage, vegetables, and broth, all neatly packed. You can cook it immediately in a pot with just the frozen kit and water, without needing to prepare any ingredients separately. Satisfaction with stew meal kits often varies depending on the quality of the ingredients. The amount of ham and sausage was just right, and the broth base was richer than expected, so my first impression was quite good. It is the kind of dish that can be enjoyed much more deliciously by adding ramen noodles or cheese. It isn't too spicy or overpowering; it feels like a savory flavor that blends naturally with the sweet taste characteristic of garlic. In particular, the clean umami flavor with a garlic base was quite impressive when I took a spoonful of the broth! The garlic aroma balanced out the greasy taste of the ham, so the aftertaste was also relatively clean. I especially recommend this to those who prefer a clean, savory broth style rather than a spicy Budae Jjigae.
