Painting the built-in closet doors and frames a lovely purple! ✨️ Since I only had the flooring and system air conditioning installed when I moved in due to time and budget constraints, the dark interior materials bothered me. However, I filled my mood with anticipation rather than disappointment, telling myself that a home I renovate myself would look amazing. This built-in closet was my number one priority for painting. Black with a high-gloss finish, and on top of that, a split design with a matte and glossy two-tone effect! It’s like having everything I dislike all in one place. I had already decided that the closet would be purple, so I chose a mid-tone hoping it would go well with red and pink, and I absolutely love it! It is a purple that looks even prettier in person. <Work Order> 1. Lightly sand the surface as if wiping off dust, then wipe it clean. (Sanding is essential since it is high-gloss!) 2. Since I will be painting the clothes inside, I carefully mask them to prevent paint from splashing inside. 3. Apply the primer lightly for the first coat, let it dry for 3–4 hours, and then apply it thoroughly for the second coat. 4. Let the primer dry for one day after the second coat. 5. Repeat the painting process of applying and drying, just like with the primer. (Perhaps because the primer was applied so thoroughly, the color developed cleanly and beautifully with just two coats. Good.) It took me over a week to come home after work, prepare the surfaces, paint, dry, and paint again. However, seeing the result, I experienced that arduous process turning into a desire to "do it again." Haha. Changing something with my own hands is quite a wonderful experience. A healthy hobby where the reward and satisfaction are proportional to the effort! <Painting Information> Paint: Regal High Build (Low Gloss) 1L Color: Heather Plum 1396 Primer: Super Strong Primer 1L *I recommend applying with a brush first for corners or narrow areas, and then using a roller for larger areas!
