Over the course of a year, I gradually changed, emptied, and refilled, and finally found the ‘vanity that suits me best’ 🤍 Rather than just a pretty space, I wanted to create a space that I could reach for comfortably every day, easy to organize, and long-lasting. At first, it was just a space to put my cosmetics, but I changed everything one by one—from the types of products I use and where I reach for them to my daily patterns—as if recording them, and organized it to fit my own routine ✨ I tried changing storage boxes so many times and searched through countless organizing items, and I think I agonized the most over "How can I keep it tidy for a long time?" before 1 🤍 At first, I thought, "It’s most comfortable when things are visible," so I kept all the products I used frequently out on the shelf. But when I actually lived with it, even though it looked pretty, it quickly looked messy with just a single item on it, and it took too much effort every time I cleaned it. In the end, rather than feeling organized, it felt like a ‘vanity that is just on display.’ before 2 🤍 So, for the second attempt, I personally made the vanity organizers one by one, even measuring the dimensions with foam board. It was a project that really took a lot of time and effort 🥹 I sorted things by type and considered the flow of movement, and thought, “Now it’s perfect!” But when I actually used it, it was too complicated. The more compartments there were, the more confused I became about what to use, and it felt like organizing itself had become the goal. after 🤍 So, in the end, I boldly emptied everything. And I started thinking again from the beginning. “What do I really need?” Thinking about it, I realized I don’t usually wear color makeup often, and what I use every day is mostly skincare products. So, I put only the toner and lotion I use daily in a metal drawer that is easy to access, and labeled everything else and organized it inside the drawer. Fortunately, my vanity has plenty of drawer space and ample upper storage, so I didn't have to take everything out to fit in. 🤍 And the most important thing was ‘decluttering.’ I gave away a lot of unused items to family and friends, and I even sold items I didn't need secondhand. The biggest realization I had while organizing was that I had more things I wanted than things I needed. I found that there were so many items I bought because they were pretty and I wanted them, but I actually didn't use them much. After decluttering, the products I actually use most often are much more visible, and my life has become much more comfortable ✨ And these photos only capture the process of organizing the ‘side space’ of my vanity 🤍 In the next post, I will show you in detail the drawer organization method I actually use 🫧 From now on, I will share the organizing items I liked using personally, vanity storage tips, and long-lasting organization methods one by one ✨ [Vanity Accessories Info] *Divided Drawer Box: Coupang/Daymood Multi-purpose Stack Organizer *Metal Storage Box: Today's House/Jipdeuri Mid-century Slide Metal Storage Box Mug Cup & Supplement Storage Box *Lipstick Organizer: Temu/4 Lipstick Organizer #VanityOrganization #화장대꾸미기 #화장대수납 #정리정돈 #수납꿀팁 #정리루틴 #화장대인테리어 #beforeafter #미니멀정리 #정리기록 #집꾸미기 #정리템추천
