Remodeling Older Apartments: Top 3 Things You're Most Satisfied With After Spending Money ๐ โจ At 11 PM, after putting the kids to bed, as you tidy up your newly renovated home, you'll spot spaces where you think, "Ah, this is one thing I really did well during this remodeling." I'm sharing three tips that dramatically improved my quality of life while renovating my 38-pyeong older apartment! ๐งบ 1. Separating Space with a Long Balcony Wall & Laundry Room The unnecessarily long balcony, typical of older apartments, was a real headache. While expanding the living room, I installed a turning door on the master bedroom side and built a partition wall on the side with the boiler room to create an independent "laundry room"! I love that it created extra space to install wall shelves. ๐ 2. Low Storage Cabinet & Electrical Outlet in the Entryway I had this low cabinet custom-made to use when dressing the kids, but it's incredibly convenient for storing clutter as well as organizing packages. Also, make sure to add an electrical outlet in the entryway! You'll find yourself needing electricity quite often in the entryway or outside. When decorating, the more electrical outlets you have, the better! ๐ฌ๏ธ 3. Rรถsler Ceiling Fan for Low Ceilings Since my apartment is an older building with low ceilings, I debated a hundred times whether or not to install a ceiling fan. In the end, I chose the surface-mounted 'Rรถsler' product, which fits perfectly with low ceilings, and I am amazed by it every summer. When I run it along with the air conditioner, it cools down every corner of the house at lightning speed. Ceiling fans are no longer an option, but a necessity. I hope this helps those of you planning to renovate an older apartment. ๐ฅฐ What do you think was the best thing you did during your renovation?
