Neglected Old House Veranda ▶️ Creating a Zen-Style Relaxation Space I finally transformed the veranda that had been neglected for two years. Since it was such a wide veranda, I was disappointed that I couldn't utilize the space effectively, but now that I've decorated it like this, I find myself using it more often! 1️⃣ Installation of Temba Board-Style Foam Panels I debated between Temba boards and foam panels, but I decided to go with the more affordable foam panels. For a space like this, it's great for creating a trendy atmosphere on a budget. 2️⃣ Installation of Bamboo Blinds The bamboo blinds I used are in the form of blinds, which makes it much more convenient to reach items from the space behind them! 3️⃣ Hiding the Clothes Dryer with Fabric Since I rarely use the clothes drying rack except when hanging blankets thanks to the dryer, I covered it up so it wouldn't ruin the atmosphere. I hung cotton fabric using a curtain rod and clip curtain rings. I attached the curtain rod using adhesive curtain hangers. 4️⃣ Styling the Flat Table Space For the flat table area, I laid down a sized IKEA ROHALS plain-woven rug and used a folding mattress I used previously to create a cushion by making a new cover for it. I also made a back cushion out of pillow stuffing and placed it at the back. 🌿 I placed the plants on a shelf for organization, and styled the space a bit more using mobiles and decorative items. I hung the plants using adhesive hooks. 💡 Since it is a veranda where electricity is difficult to use, I installed a wireless rechargeable light bulb. The atmosphere is nice even at night, so I use it frequently. The only downside is that I have to charge it often.
