I was surprised a while ago when I went out to check on a potted plant I had tossed into the laundry room. Last year, the leaves of my Asparagus Nanus turned yellow, so I snapped them off and put them in the laundry room. But then, lush green new leaves sprouted. I hadn't watered it and had completely forgotten about it, but it was so fascinating that I moved it to the living room. I realized that this is what vitality is—living on its own even without my attention.
