My biggest and most exciting concern these days is decorating my child's "first playroom." It may not be a space that truly reflects who I am, but it is the space I am currently most interested in. Since my baby has been sleeping separately since early on, I spread out floor plans every day and arrange furniture dozens of times, debating whether to create a dedicated playroom in the living room or to set it up inside the nursery with a bed. It isn't as easy as I'd hoped, and sometimes it gives me a headache, but imagining my child smiling happily in this space makes these days the most reassuring and happy moments of my life. I want to fill it piece by piece with my own taste and love, so I am being meticulous right from the blueprint stage.
