I wondered if he wanted to sit huddled together, so even though it felt a bit awkward, I decided to respect his choice of location. Once the family had all returned to their respective spots, I rearranged the living room layout for the first time in a while. Sitting one by one on the sofa, the distance between us is much closer, which isn't so bad in its own way, is it!?
