💙 Today's Home 2 - The Living Room Study 💙 The house I lived in as a child was a two-story house with a spacious yard. I loved our home even as a child, but looking back now—nearly thirty years after leaving my hometown—it was still a truly beautiful and wonderful house. One of my favorite places in my childhood home was the second floor, which felt like a cozy secret space. Reached by climbing the wooden stairs, the ceiling was lower and sloped compared to the first floor; it was a fun space where an adult could stand upright on one side, but on the other, my younger sibling and I, as children, felt a precarious sense of risking our heads to touch the ceiling. Our family's belongings that we didn't use often were stored there, and among them were many of my mom and dad's old books. Whenever I had time, I would go up to the second floor and rummage through the old stuff like on a treasure hunt, stealthily flipping through the books that had to be read from top to bottom rather than left to right. The mysterious yet savory smell emanating from the yellowed paper. I loved that smell so much. Even in the home we purchased as adults, I created spaces for reading. I turned one entire room into a study and decorated a corner of the living room as well. Now in my mid-forties, I have stopped commuting to work, but as I work from home doing small tasks and raising two children, the time I spend reading has become shorter than before. Nevertheless, I am happy to be able to sit in the living room study and flip through a page or two whenever I find even a brief moment to sit alone. I hope the memories of our living room study will remain beautifully in the childhood memories of my children as well. #CornSoupRecord #OurHomeToday #CornSoup #LivingRoomStudy #LivingRoomStudyInterior #LivingRoomStudyTransformation #ReadingSpace #ReadingLivingRoom #ReadingSpace #Reading #LivingRoom #LivingRoomInterior #LivingRoomDecor #Follow #FollowMe #Communicate
