I matched a warm-toned wooden desk with a heavy black bookshelf, and I really love the unique, calm atmosphere this combination creates. I prefer to arrange items naturally rather than keeping them perfectly neat and organized. If I stack books carelessly to use them as vase stands, or roughly pile them on the black bookshelf and pair them with a table lamp and a Marshall speaker, it completes the exact mood I love... The cute cup in the photo is an illustrated floral mug that I purchased for the first time this time.
