Our house originally had only one room, and we managed to create two rooms during the renovation.😭 I realized that if we divided the space solely into a bedroom and a dressing room, we might run out of room later on. So, although it felt a bit unfamiliar at first, I decided not to make the dressing room a separate room, but instead placed it closer to the living room. Living in, I found this choice to be much more convenient than I expected.👍🏻 The flow of taking out and organizing clothes before and after going out feels natural, and organizing bulky items like seasonal clothes or bedding is much easier because the space is spacious. Previously, when the dressing room was inside the bedroom, I felt like dust from the clothes would accumulate on the bed, but having it in the living room area feels much more convenient in terms of cleaning and ventilation.🤭 However, since it is located right in the living room, the most important thing was to ensure that the signs of daily life were not visible.⭐️ So, I planned it so that when the door is closed, it looks like a single wall rather than a dressing room. The living room atmosphere has also become much neater and more organized.🤍 Another detail I paid close attention to was the turning door in the laundry room. While it is a functionally necessary door, if it were visible as is, it could make the living room look a bit cluttered. So, while planning the dressing room, I concealed it once more with a furniture door. The layout connects the dressing room and laundry room when the door is open, and looks like a clean wall when it is closed. Ultimately, I think there is no single right answer in interior design⭐️ A dressing room doesn't necessarily have to be inside a bedroom, and you can achieve a clean finish by hiding doors or signs of daily life that you don't want visible. 📍The important thing is to accurately identify the strengths and weaknesses of your home and plan the space according to how you actually move around and live. Our dressing room has quietly settled down next to the living room like that.
