🍽 | SENSE OF TASTE <A Table Blessed with Peace: What I Eat Is Who I Am> 🗓 May 24, 26 Last weekend, on a day with warm sunshine, I attended the Today's House Special Creator Special Class in Samcheong-dong with natural cooking researcher Moon Sung-hee. I arrived a little early and chatted with members I hadn't seen in a while while drinking warm tea. My heart was warmed right from the start by the hosts' kind welcome and the gift of an MMK apron. Although I am aware that what we eat is important, I used to just grab a quick bite because I didn't have time to cook or because it was a hassle. However, hearing the teacher say, "What I eat is who I am," and that I must take care of myself, love myself, and be happy myself in order to share that happiness, I reflected deeply and had many thoughts. 5. I tasted and recorded my sensory impressions of feldspar cookies made with feldspar naturally produced during the fermentation process of soy sauce, seed soy sauce (*Jongjajang*) brewed in the sun and wind for over 10 years, and seed soy sauce caramel. Since it was my first time doing this, it felt a bit awkward but was a unique experience. Reflecting on my body, mind, and spirit through this tasting experience gave me a sense of getting to know myself, making it a calm and enjoyable time. 6-12. Although I like sushi, the menu item of vegetable sushi was unfamiliar to me. However, after watching the cooking process, tasting it, and even plating it myself, I was honestly a little surprised by how simple, healthy, and delicious it was. I am a picky eater who usually doesn't eat bell peppers or eggplants, but on this day, I completely emptied my plate. (Excluding the strong-flavored shiso 👀) To me, cooking used to sound like a difficult task just by hearing about it, but it was a rewarding day where I learned that a delicious dish can be created simply by baking and combining good ingredients in a healthy way like this. - #TodaysHouse #SpecialCreator #TodaysHouseCreator #SpecialClass #PeacefulTable
