[Kitchen Before & After] The Miracle of a 30-Year-Old Kitchen!🌟 A review of an epic kitchen renovation where the investment was absolutely worth it! Hello! I’m here to share a review of my absolute satisfaction after finally finishing the kitchen remodeling. While preparing for the interior renovation, I worried a lot about whether it was worth the cost. However, seeing the finished result, it truly is a renovation that was #worththemoney, so I just had to share it. 😭 📌 Before Renovation Suffocating layout and signs of age: The old kitchen had the typical structure of an old house. The space was blocked by walls, making the already narrow kitchen look even more cramped and dark. Disorganized workflow: The placement of the refrigerator and dining table was awkward, causing my workflow to get tangled every time I cooked. With appliances sticking out, I couldn't shake off the cluttered feeling. 📌 After Renovation A structural transformation, an open-plan island kitchen: We tore down the stifling walls and transformed it into a luxurious open-plan kitchen where you can cook while looking out at the wide-open living room! The structural changes are where I feel the greatest reward for the money spent. Modern and Chic Matte Gray & Black Tones: We matched the upper and lower cabinets and walls in a calm and sophisticated dark gray tone, and added a black accent to the island countertop to create an atmosphere reminiscent of a luxury hotel lounge. The Ultimate in Neatness, Built-in Storage: From small appliances like rice cookers and ovens to the refrigerator, everything is neatly tucked inside custom cabinets, ensuring there are absolutely no messy wires or devices visible on the outside. Subtle Lighting and a Point Hood: Recessed ceiling lights provide a soft overall brightness, while a stylishly designed island hood installed above the island firmly anchors the center of the kitchen. ✨ Why This Renovation Was Truly 'Worth the Money' 1. Vertical Improvement in Quality of Life In the past, I used to feel stifled and reluctant to cook whenever I entered the kitchen, but now, the time spent standing in the kitchen itself is a form of healing. Being able to cook and do the dishes while conversing with my family in the living room seems to be the greatest happiness of an open-plan kitchen. 2. Visual Openness and a Spacious Look While opening up the adjacent room did actually make the space feel larger, organizing all appliances into built-in units makes the entire house look so much wider and deeper that it makes you wonder if it is even the same square footage. I believe there is no investment as valuable in interior design as making the most of the space. 3. Minimalism for Easy Cleaning and Maintenance Since everything has found its proper place and is built-in, there are no items rolling around on the countertops, so cleaning is done with just a quick wipe. If you are considering kitchen interior design but are hesitating due to structural changes or the cost of built-in installation, I highly recommend this. It did cost a bit, but seeing the space I face every day transformed like this has completely changed my satisfaction with life.
