I placed a play table for the children in the living room. At first, I was hesitant because it seemed to take up space, but once I actually set it up, I found it had more advantages than I expected. Since the children naturally come out to the living room to play, the time the family spends together has increased compared to when they are in their individual rooms, and it is nice to be able to watch them play up close. Most importantly, being able to gather frequently played toys in one place has made it much easier for the children to take them out and put them away on their own. I am also satisfied that I don't have to clear the table every time they read books or do crafts, and that they can leave the table aside for a moment before continuing to play.
