The point I paid the most attention to during the construction was the storage cabinet between the kitchen and the living room. I felt that keeping the existing layout would make it look too cramped, and it would be bad because I wouldn't be able to see my child while in the kitchen. However, I thought that if I opened it up completely, the kitchen would be too exposed and look messy. I also spent a lot of time debating whether to use shelving or a storage cabinet that would be hidden from view when looking from the living room. Perhaps because I put so much thought into it, this is the part I am most satisfied with. By reducing the size of the cabinet, I created a sense of openness just right. By installing a push-door cabinet instead of a shelf style, dust doesn't accumulate, and it looks neat and tidy—I think I made the right choice. I wanted the house to look a bit more spacious, so I unified not only the colors of the upper and lower cabinets but also the molding, flooring, and wallpaper in bright tones. Just unifying the tones makes the house look organized, which seems to make it look even cleaner and more spacious.
