#같이사는집 Our family of four consists of my husband, my two sons aged 7 and 9, and myself. 😊 Looking at the photos alone, it looks so neat that you might wonder, "Is this really a house where kids live?" Actually, it was completely different before we moved into our new home. Since the children are only two years apart, I was constantly busy with childcare every day and didn't even have the luxury to think about stylish interior design. My priority was creating a space where the children could run around freely, and I considered the house merely a place to rest and sleep. Then, last May, we experienced a major change when we moved into a new apartment. We sorted through the furniture and appliances we had used for 10 years and began filling the house piece by piece with a fresh mindset. While I used to think only about functionality, I now put more thought into creating a space where the whole family can stay comfortably and heal. That is why, although our current home looks neat, there are hidden thoughtful touches for the children tucked away throughout. #RotatingBookshelf The most representative space is the living room. Just because I want a sentimental interior doesn't mean I can give up on books. After all, I still have a strong desire for my children to naturally grow closer to books. So, I placed a rotating bookshelf in one corner of the living room and filled it with the children's favorite books. Normally, it looks like a decorative object so it doesn't detract from the interior, but for the children, it serves as a small library where they can take out books to read at any time. When guests visit, they see it as a space for pretty decorations, but it is actually a reading space for the children. 📚 #StepStool Another hidden gem is the step stool in front of the water purifier. It is an essential item since the children are not yet tall enough to reach the water purifier. I chose a color similar to the white cabinets and placed it so it is as inconspicuous as possible. I am satisfied because it ensures functionality while maintaining the atmosphere of the space. #DiningTable #모션테이블 And there is a motion table in one corner of the living room. I've noticed that young children often concentrate better when they are in the same space as their family rather than studying alone in their own rooms. So, I placed a motion table that can be adjusted in height to suit the children's height. Whether reading books, doing homework, or playing board games, we naturally gather in this space. Thanks to this, the living room has become more than just a place to rest; it is a space where the family spends time together and grows. On the surface, it might look as neat as if there were no children in the house, but if you look closely, it is a home filled with consideration for the children and the essence of our family life. I hope you enjoyed the hidden story of our home. 🤍🏡✨
