For me, that number one spot is the kitchen! Other areas look better if you just clear them out or put things back in their proper places, but the kitchen is a place where you really need a lot of things to cook home-cooked meals. Since I tend to keep frequently used items on the shelves and have a lot of necessary appliances, it looks messy even when I don't do much. I seriously considered putting up a partition wall, but since it opens up seamlessly with the living room to make the space look wider, I tried using a curtain that is barely visible. It doesn't cover everything 100%, but that actually makes it feel less stuffy, and it completely hides all the mess. Every time I saw things like storage boxes, the coffee machine, tissues, wet wipes, and leftover snacks, I felt a sense of shame. Every time I had to clean everything up just to take a photo or video, and then mess it all up again, I wondered what I was even doing. The hook attached to the ceiling doesn't necessarily have to be that specific one; any hook will work. The stainless steel rods can be custom-made in length. You can also request to have the leftover scraps included. The privacy curtains come in a single size, but they provide just the right amount of coverage.
