When my child was about six months old, I called a bookstore thinking I might try parenting with books. I still remember what I was told back then. “You should have started at 100 days old; it’s too late.” I felt a sense of urgency for no reason, so I hurriedly bought two complete sets of books. (Almost 1 million won…🥲) But the reality is, they used it as a teething toy instead of a book lol I really cried back then😭😭 I thought it might already be too late🥹 But after the first birthday, they started bringing books to me on their own without me having to tell them to haha They even found their favorite books hidden in corners🤭 I realized that even without emphasizing book-based parenting or creating a specific environment, children have their own timing :) Now, from the moment they open their eyes until bedtime, they bring the same book several times haha And before I knew it, I became a human SayPen📚😂 What I’ve learned while parenting is that you don’t have to get swept up in what others say. It's okay to be a little late, and it's okay not to be fast.
