I was surprised while organizing old photos. The photo above shows Duhan when he weighed 5.4kg, and the photo below shows him now at 4.3kg. Since his weight remained relatively consistent after he became an adult cat, I assumed that was his natural body type. However, after hearing from the vet that it would be good for him to lose a little weight, I started managing his diet. However, since it is not good for cats to lose weight too quickly, I didn't force him to exercise or drastically cut his food intake. I simply switched his food to indoor diet food and proceeded very slowly over the course of two years. At first, it didn't seem like there was any change, but at some point, his waistline became visible, he seemed to jump more lightly, and he started running around more energetically. Most importantly, I am most satisfied that he still eats well, sleeps well, and plays well. There is no special secret to dieting, and I think the most important thing in the end was not being impatient.
