I rearranged the living room, and now the kids have their own secret hideout. I only moved one piece of furniture, but the atmosphere of the space has changed quite a bit. Previously, I used a bookshelf against the wall, but this time, I arranged the children's bookshelves in a U-shape to create a small hideout. When you step inside the bookshelf, it creates a space just for the kids, and it’s perfect for taking out books to read or playing with toys. I placed a table behind the bookshelf to naturally separate the play area from the living space. Although I didn't build a wall, the sense of division makes it feel like we have created another independent space where we can eat, draw, and read. Seeing the kids keep going inside to sit there, it seems they really do love having their own secret hideouts. It is surprisingly fun to create new roles for a space just by rearranging the furniture.
