My favorite piece of furniture, the IKEA Kallax DIY Cart 🛒 Although I have plenty of better furniture in my house, I made sure to keep this handmade trolley even after moving 🥰 It is the IKEA Kallax 2x2 that I have been using as a home bar since I lived alone. After moving and getting a dishwasher and a microwave oven, there was no more space in the kitchen, so I ended up modifying it myself like this. ✂️ DIY Highlights ✅ Attached handles myself ✅ Added copper-colored ball casters to make it mobile ✅ Installed an IKEA wine glass rack 👉 New additions after moving ✅ Created a sliding space for the rice cooker using plywood and retractable rails I absolutely needed space to slide forward to freely open the rice cooker lid, but since the shelf height was blocking the way, I ended up making it myself 😅 📦 Components Top — SodaStream + SodaStream glass bottle + rattan basket I bought the glass bottle version of the SodaStream because I like sparkling water but dislike plastic bottles. I store potatoes, onions, sweet potatoes, and the like wrapped in paper in the rattan basket. 🧺 I mainly store tea and medicine in the IKEA drawer beneath the rattan basket. Middle left — Cuckoo rice cooker It moves back and forth on the sliding rail. Middle right — Breville espresso machine It's a total antique lol. I don't use it often, but I can't bring myself to throw it away, so I'm keeping it 😅 Bottom left — IKEA wine glass rack I installed it to store wine glasses. 🍷 I use the space next to it as a plate storage area. I don't like having kitchen appliances sticking out of the way, but thanks to this item, I think the kitchen countertop always stays clean. Finally, I hang a hook on the left handle to store my juice eco-bag or swim bag.
