When I was remodeling, what I wanted to achieve was to remove the large TV from the living room and install a projector instead. Without the large TV, the living room space looks much cleaner, and being able to place the ultra-short throw projector right in front of the wall has resulted in an aesthetically pleasing space. Of course, I could have seen better picture quality by mounting a dedicated screen on the wall, but since that didn't seem much different from just having a TV, I chose to keep the wall space clear for a cleaner look. I got used to the screen immediately after a little squint, haha.
