While renovating, I wanted to keep using my existing mattress, so I had a headboard custom-made to fit the size. We are currently using two super single mattresses placed side by side, and we are very satisfied with it because it allows us to lie down comfortably! Above all, I liked that having the headboard custom-made allowed us to capture the exact style we wanted, from the color to the design. Power outlets were installed on both sides of the headboard for convenient phone charging or using simple electronic devices, and we also installed lighting to turn on softly whenever needed. It is surprisingly useful when reading a book or using my phone while lying in bed! I chose a low-profile bed frame.
