Regarding the accent wall wallpapering, when we were newlyweds, we just hung a wall-mounted TV and didn't find it particularly bothersome. However, as we got more items for the baby and our clutter grew, the dark accent wall became unsightly, so we decided to re-wallpaper it! Since the work was done while we were living there, the process involved reinforcement work, sanding, special underlay paper, and a final wallpaper finish. We hired a skilled contractor, and the wrinkles naturally smoothed out after more than a week. The last photo shows the living room without a TV after the accent wall was re-wallpapered! This was the wall one year after the re-wallpapering, looking neat even with the baby's belongings on it. It looks so clean and the house seems even more spacious. One of the best renovations I've ever done—I wish I had done this sooner!
