💙 Interior Design Know-How 2 - A Kitchen Without Upper Cabinets: Isn't It Inconvenient? 💙 Many of you dream of being minimalists but live as maximalists, right? (If you aren't, I feel lonely. 🥲) I don't live a life where I cook fancy meals, so I don't know why I have so many kitchen items. That is my story. However, it has already been two years since I fearlessly removed the upper cabinets and installed a face-to-face island countertop. Here is my answer to the question of whether it is inconvenient without upper cabinets: Not at all! Instead of removing the upper cabinets, I created storage space in the refrigerator cabinet and inside the island countertop. Although the size isn't exactly cramped, I had so many items that organizing and putting things away felt overwhelming at first. However, after getting rid of items I don't use often, grouping dishes of similar size and material together, and organizing them using storage devices, I no longer feel like I lack storage space.
