The most important thing when decorating a baby's room is creating a "space that can be used for a long time" rather than just making it pretty. Before the baby was born, I used to be drawn to every single cute little item, but once I actually started parenting, as books, educational toys, and playthings piled up one by one, I realized that organization and storage became much more important.
