I bought an LG portable air conditioner because it looks like it's going to get really hot soon! Last year, the air conditioner was only in the master bedroom, so I spent the entire summer there. I was really disappointed that I could barely use the living room. So, I decided on a portable air conditioner this year! Since I'm planning a full renovation, I chose a portable unit that is easy to install and take down rather than spending a lot of money on a floor-standing air conditioner. When I received it, I was a little surprised because it was bigger than I expected... haha. Still, it features a dual inverter, Grade 1 energy efficiency, and a dual hose system, so I think I can reduce the burden of electricity bills. The living room temperature was 27 degrees before I turned it on! After running it for about 30 minutes, it dropped to 25 degrees. Since it's an 8-pyeong (approx. 26 sq ft) unit, I thought the efficiency might drop if I used it in the living room, so I also installed a curtain to block the space leading to the kitchen. Dali is running back and forth just fine too. Haha.
