As I flipped through Elle Deco, I stopped at the photos before the text. It is the official residence of the Ambassador of Luxembourg in Seoul. Calm and warm wood, neat ceramics, and a bookshelf where stainless steel meets wood. An elegant and luxurious mood, yet not excessive, permeated the entire page. Within that serene frame, there was just one spot where my gaze stopped. A framed picture of three women standing against a red background. When a single strong color entered a well-organized space, it actually brought the space to life even more. Actually, I like to add color and wit to a white background. So, I was delighted by the way this house used color. But honestly, it is a mood that is difficult to recreate in my own home. It is not so much a cheerful sense of color, but rather the elegance derived from warm wood and ceramics, layered with a sense of luxury. I think I looked at it longer because it is a grain I don't usually use. And the ‘Corner’ clock that came as a supplement in this issue, I hung it up on the white tiles in my bathroom. The single pink piece really stands out against the white tiles, and that’s so typical of me. Even with the same color, some use it elegantly, while others use it cheerfully. I think looking into that difference is the fun of touring a home. #DecoFriends #ELLEDecorFriends #엘르데코 #콘수프기록집
