#주방시공포인트 🍽 The Sense of Openness Gained by Removing Upper Cabinets The kitchen was one of the spaces I agonized over the most during the entire renovation. Previously, like a typical apartment kitchen, upper cabinets were installed above the sink. However, I felt the space felt cramped, so I decided to boldly remove them. I prioritized the sense of openness provided by the space over storage. Of course, the decision to remove the upper cabinets wasn't easy. However, during the renovation process, I planned to use the entire wall opposite the sink as a storage area, which allowed me to secure ample storage space to compensate for the lack of storage. In the place where the upper cabinets used to be, I installed white tiles on the entire wall. Thanks to this, the kitchen looks much wider and more spacious, and it feels like it connects naturally with the living room. Now, I enjoy arranging posters, plants, and small decorative items against the tiled wall to create a slightly different atmosphere each season. In particular, the wide tiled wall that is the first thing you see when entering the kitchen is one of the parts I am most satisfied with after the renovation. By removing the upper cabinets and solving storage needs with wall-mounted cabinets, we have completed a kitchen unique to our home that offers a much greater sense of visual openness.
