I brought home a rattan protective fish from Above Workshop, a lucky object woven to capture the texture of nature. 🤍 It is said that in Korea, fish objects have long been hung in front of doors to welcome good energy and ward off bad luck. I chose the doorbell version, which is a standard model with a doorbell attached. A small copper bell is attached, and a clear, soft ringing sound rings out whenever the door is opened or closed. Just that sound alone made me feel good the moment I entered the house. The sound spreading gently in the quiet space was even more charming than I expected. I initially hung it in front of the entrance door, but I also tried hanging it on a shelf in my study, and it blended in naturally wherever I placed it. It fit in well without being overwhelming even in a modern space, serving as a focal point like a decorative object. Installation was also incredibly simple. All I had to do was attach the included magnetic hook and hang it up, so no additional work was required. The silk thread wrapped around the fish body is also tightly woven and sturdily finished, giving me the impression that it was crafted with even greater care when I received it. It arrived neatly packaged in a white box, so I think it would make a great housewarming or business opening gift. With its beautiful design and meaningful significance, it was the perfect object to express your feelings to someone special. A small decorative item that captures good energy and brightens up the atmosphere of a space.
