5 Interior Design Tips I Practice to Make Even a Small Kitchen Look Spacious🌿 While gradually renovating my kitchen lately, the biggest realization I had was that **decluttering** is far more important than buying a lot of pretty decor items. Let me introduce the methods I actually apply. ✔️ 1. Keep only frequently used items on the countertop I found that a cluttered kitchen countertop makes the space look smaller. So, I kept only the oven, water purifier, and small lamps that I use every day, and stored everything else away as much as possible. ✔️ 2. Stick to just three colors I used white as the base and only used wood and stainless steel as accents. Since having too many colors disperses the eye, I tried to maintain a sense of unity as much as possible. ✔️ 3. Make household items part of the interior Instead of hiding onions, I hung them in a net bag, and organized spice containers in the same type of container. If you arrange even the items you use every day in an aesthetically pleasing way, the atmosphere naturally changes. ✔️ 4. A single plant can change the atmosphere of a space I created a small vegetable garden on one side of the window. It is fun to watch the lettuce grow, and having just one green plant makes the kitchen look much more vibrant. ✔️ 5. Make sure to utilize lighting Turning on just a small mood light really changes the atmosphere of the kitchen. It is one of my most satisfying items because it feels like a warm space even when I step out for a glass of water at night. It is not finished yet. On my next trip to Japan, I plan to bring back tableware and glass cups that I have had my eye on for a long time, one by one, to gradually fill the space. I think the most enjoyable part of interior design is the process of adding things little by little as you live in the house, rather than trying to complete it all at once. If you have any kitchen interior tips of your own, please be sure to share them in the comments. I would love to use them as a reference for my next styling project.
