I think the first things I reach for when the seasons change are small fabric accessories.🤍 Since I love white-toned spaces, I tend to be cautious when introducing color, but this yellow striped cushion was an item that made me think, "It’s summer!" the moment I saw it. The subtle butter yellow color doesn't stand out too much, and it adds a clean French mood that makes the atmosphere of the space feel much fresher. Just placing it casually on the sofa adds a focal point to an otherwise plain space, and matching it with bedroom bedding creates a light and cool vibe, like a resort hotel. It is the cushion I reach for most often these days. In particular, thanks to the cheerful feel of the striped pattern, it goes really well with summer interiors. The color isn't too saturated, so it matches well with white interiors as well as natural-style spaces without being overwhelming. I also loved the material. It is easy to imagine stiff or scratchy fabrics when thinking of summer, but this cushion feels soft against the skin and isn't stuffy, so I felt I could use it comfortably even in the middle of summer. It felt visually lightweight and pleasant to the touch, truly capturing the essence of the season. I realized once again that the easiest way to change the atmosphere of the season without replacing large furniture is with just a small piece of fabric.
